A coronaviral pandemic is now in Washington state.
The state’s first confirmed case has been reported in the city of Tacoma.
A few more confirmed cases have been reported, and an additional 10 people are being monitored for possible coronaviruses.
The outbreak has caused a lockdown in parts of Washington state, with some people in Tacoma being barred from their homes, according to a news release from the state Department of Health.
The lockdown in Tacoma is affecting people in the area of Interstate 5 between the towns of Pierce and Tacoma.
The city of Pierce is being kept under a lockdown.
Tacoma Mayor Ben Wyatt said he has been instructed to “stay at home,” according to the Tacoma News Tribune.
“Our primary concern is the safety of the Tacoma community,” Wyatt said.
“We want people to stay in their homes as long as possible.”
It is not clear when or how the virus has been circulating in the state.
A number of health departments in the US have said that the number of confirmed cases of coronas is at a record high, and that it could be several years before it drops below 1,000.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it is concerned that more people may be infected than previously expected.
It says the increase is due to new coronavides being isolated from imported or imported from Asia.
